With great sadness, we want to let our community know that the owner and founder of Charpier's Bakery, David Mosow, passed away Monday morning after a brief stay in the hospital. He dedicated his life to the bakery, his customers, and employees. We will be closed to honor his memory next Friday, February 28, 2020. A memorial service will be held that day at Congregation Micah, 2001 Old Hickory Blvd, Brentwood TN at 3pm."

1948 - 2020

David Mosow Nashville - David Mosow, age 71, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was born November 14, 1948 in Waukegan, IL to William and Jean Mosow and was the middle of five children. A master baker, he was the founder and owner of Charpier's Bakery for 34 years. David could talk to anyone and was a devoted and loyal friend to many. He was curious about the world, always had a dachshund (or four), played lots of jokes, and never let anyone leave his house hungry. A lifelong fisherman, he asked that his ashes be scattered at his favorite fishing spot along the Roaring Fork River in Old Snowmass, Colorado. He is survived by Carol Mosow (Johnson), his wife of 49 years; his two daughters, Julie Mosow (Sasha Dichter) and Erin Mosow (Nathan Terry); five grandchildren, Jonah, Zoe, and Clara Dichter, and Elliott and Margot Terry; and his two sisters, Susie Patton and Carol Leach. A memorial service will be held at Congregation Micah, 2001 Old Hickory Boulevard, Brentwood, Tennessee at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 28th, 2020. Donations can be made to Congregation Micah.
